About Resight Vision Foundation


The Resight Vision Foundation is a nonprofit, charitable organization based at the Arora Eye Hospital & Retina Centre, in the heart of Jalandhar city in Punjab. Founded by Eye surgeon Dr. Amandeep Singh Arora in 2010, the hospital has had a  legacy of providing quality eye care services to the people of North Punjab.

We have great pride and pleasure to introduce ourselves as one of the most reputed Eye care centre in northern India, equipped with ultra modern and state-of-the-art facilities for comprehensive eye care-right from OPD consultations and routine health check-ups to specialized eye surgeries. While our hospital stand one step ahead of other similar institutions in the region in terms of facilities as well as patient care, we are proud to inform you that ours may be the only such hospital affordable to all the sections of the society with outdoor facilities & indoor facilities.

We have always upheld our social commitments and has invested extensively in charitable causes like free medical care to poor patients,2000 free cataract surgeries in year 2017-2018 free food for ward indoor patients free stay for outdoor patients and their attendants. RVF envisages  building  a  sustainable  model  to  prevent avoidable   and   curable   blindness, thereby reducing  poverty  and  suffering  due  to  eye ailments  in  North  Punjab, and  making  eyesight a fundamental right for everyone.

  • The Foundation is born in April, 2018 in recognition of the need to make affordable eye care accessible to people from underprivileged and marginalized sections of the society.

  • Weekly eye camps are conducted in rural and semi urban areas in North Punjab, with teams of Ophthalmologists and optometrists screening for major eye diseases. Patients requiring surgical care were escorted to Arora Eye Hospital & Retina in Jalandhar while patients with minor refractive issues were referred to local eye care providers.

    RVF is the only non-profit organization addresses the eye care needs of the rural and urban community of most backward districts in Punjab, namely Hoshiaypur & Kapurthala Dist Apart from Cataract [SICS/Phaco], RVF has been providing medical and surgical services such as DCR, TRAB and Pterygium, Diabetic Retinopathy, Vitreo-retinal surgical services and Cornea and services through the community eye camps. The impact on the target community has been overwhelming.
